From Concept to Reality!

April 23rd

And just like that.... It was finished!  Thursday saw the last bolt go in place after receiving the decaled body back from B&J Graphics.... and what a beauty she is!  We have had many staff and students dropping by the garage to check her out and look her over... and we are pretty proud of the results!

We will be showing her off in the near future in Shawano at the track... check back for more details on that soon... and also look for us at the Clintonville Fireman's Parade & the Clintonville Car show later in the year.  We thank ALL of you who have supported this project and have seen us go from "Concept to Reality!"

Thank you all!

April 6th

Blink an eye.... and another month has sailed past us!  The team has been putting in alot of work days and things are really starting to come together.  The rolling chassis is nearly complete.  We have the brake system nearly complete and engine is onboard and ready for testing.  The body shell has come back from paint from Steinke Auto and it looks super!  The team wishes to send them a huge "THANK YOU!"

While we are handing out "Thank You's," we would also like to send a heart-felt thanks to Carl Reinke of Carl's Custom Welding.  Mr. Reinke donated all the aluminum for our new car ramps.  Thank you VERY much!

...and as Always, THANK YOU  to all of you for your support!!!!

February 12th

February is hopping!!!!  The team has finished the "rolling chassis" stage and we have figured out our issues with the fiberglass body.  So lots of good progress!   We would like to throw a HUGE thanks out to B & J Custom Graphics in Shawano... they have agreed to do all our decals and graphics.... THANK YOU!!!

...and as Always, THANK YOU  for all of your support!!!!

February 2nd

January has came and went!   February is here now.... and the build continues!  The team has been working hard on getting the suspension completed and getting to the "rolling chassis" stage.  The fiberglass body has been trimmed and sanded and is ready to be primed/painted and decaled.  Own a vinyl shop and want to contribute to our project?  Please give us a yell!

We also have a few new sponsors and we'll have some new pics soon!  Thank you to all for your continuing support!

December 3rd

December is here and the first snowflakes are starting to fly today.... but that doesn't mean we are slowing down!  The team received their brand spanking new fiberglass body last night from Fiberglass Solutions in GB and we are nearing the end of construction on the rollcage.  Just need to add the halo onto the frame and we are done with that portion and can move on to the suspension.  Mr. Eggert and the team hope to have a rolling chassis by the end of January!

We also have a few new sponsors and we'll have a updates on those very soon!  We are getting very excited at reaching our sponsorship goal!  Thank you to all for your continuing support!

November 12th

November is seeing some great progress with the team.  We would like to thank Twigs Beverage of Shawano for their support of our team!

We have also continued with the building of our race chassis.  To see the progress, click:         Frame #1                       Frame #2

We will also be travelling November 19th to begin laying the fiberglass for the race body.  Stayed tuned for pics of that in the future.  Steinke Auto will be working with us to do finish work and paint on our race body.

The Cutting Edge of Learning & Instruction

The Wisconsin Formula High School project was created to allow students who are interested in motorsports, engineering, and technology areas a realistic outlet to showcase their skills and talents.  Students involved in Formula High School will now have the opportunity to compete against other schools in a controlled racing time-trial event.  Each team is responsible for constructing a vehicle to a strict set of guidelines. These guidelines help the students construct a safe vehicle that closely resembles the current SCCA Formula First race vehicle.

The goals of the high school formula project are:

  1. Increasing awareness of engineering and technical careers
  2. Promoting teamwork and interpersonal skills among competitors
  3. Construction of a product with specific tolerances and deadlines
  4. Applying knowledge from other disciplines to an engineering problem
  5. Connect the schools and students to their local manufacturers
  6. Apply the concepts of marketing and increase the student’s public relation skills
  7. Help create the workforce of the future

How can you help?

Our Formula High School team is just in its early stages.  At present time, we are establishing teams of students to start the challenge.  We have begun contacting local industry and businesses seeking sponsorship for our challenge vehicle.  If you are interested in becoming a sponsor for our team, please feel free to contact us!  We would welcome your support in our efforts to share a new and exciting area of engineering with our students.
